I was so excited when I was able to use the table read feature. As a non-native english speaker, I need to hear the dialogue out loud to fix grammatical and pacing issues. So my main use of the table read is for revisions. And now with the credits option it’s not possible for me to use it anymore. It’s just way too expensive to go through a script more than once.
I understand that it’s a new feature that is pricey because it’s AI. But what if we could get it as part of an updgraded subscription, paying a little more per installment. Or have a cheaper version (even the old Final Draft computarized voices will do), that would help more than paying 30+ dollars per read.
Hey Josefina! We don’t create the AI voices ourselves, so we’re charged every time they’re used. That’s why we’ve instituted a pay-as-you-go model. However, if you switch the provider from ElevenLabs to Murf (see attached), then it costs half the amount of credits. The Murf voices aren’t as high quality, but since you’re using them for pacing and grammar it should work for you.
