Pitch Deck Editor/Creator#1027

I guess all yet independent writers need Pitch Deck Editor.

Just summarizing a process:

• Write a script
• Create and compose storyboard visuals with texts (not Shot List, because this is Pitch Deck)
• Create Supplementary Notes file. (Google Docs etc.)
• And merge them together and edit via a pdf editor.

But;

• There is no proper storyboard “composing” app, with customizable page orientation, margins, etc. With the apps on the market you cannot customize scene title, subtitle, descriptions and their cell (size, colors, etc.). That’s why i build an html file then print out composed storyboard as a pdf from browser.
• Then some of the supplementary notes comes before spec script such as: cover, table of contents, copyright and privacy, logline, synopsys, before start notes (musics, visual language notes…), etc. Some of the supplementary notes comes after spec script such as: character notes, location notes, business opportunities, about writer, movie timeline etc. Thats why need to re-place pages of supplementary notes around spec script, storyboard, moodboard, etc.

At the end need to adding;

• Page numbers
• Footer notes (such as: “Created by …”)
• Watermark

By the way, need to pre-calculate storyboards page count to create proper table of content-just because the different page oriantation, needs to pre-embeded page numbers on storyboard via html file. And for the legal notes “This file consists of [this amount] pages, including cover page.”

These every scut works are easy but all of them too much hassle and i’m sure i forgot some steps.

The worst part, if you make a mistake or you need to change/add something, have to not this much work but boring much work again, again.

I love writing script and creating elements of pitch deck but it’s nightmare to get them together in decent shape.

I don’t expect visual creating feature -such as storyboard, family tree, location plan, moodboard, etc- from arc studio but it would be perfect decent/conventional text editor that combines with current arc studio elements -such as: script, outline, cast report, location list- with gallery editor for inserted supplementary graphics or images.

Last but not least, probably this feature makes also production company’s life easier, as thinkin about internal presentations of show runners, producers, directors.
