Drag and Drop Text#1011

Hello Team!
I’ve popped into Arc Studio from Final Draft (I’ve been with it since version 7). One thing I do miss is the ability to move chunks of selected text (in the editor) around, which saves a lot of time during the editing process or re-arranging scene actions and dialogues.

Thank you!

Hey Vasileios! Happy to have you! Have you checked out our Stash feature? It may provide the drag and drop ability you’re looking for: https://help.arcstudiopro.com/all-how-tos/how-do-i-stash-a-section-of-my-script

Thank you so much for your response, Micah!

The Stash feature is great when moving pieces across pages, I do admit, and thank you. What I was referring to is the ability to focus on a scene and quickly move pieces around. Like, higlighting a test, then using the left mouse button to move it around the - roughly - the same page.

Imagine trying to assemble a puzzle image. The drag-and-drop I have in mind is like moving the pieces on the table closer to see the matches. Stash is like putting the pieces back in the box and remember to utilize them later - or in another area. It generally adds two more steps in the process.

I hope that makes sense?
