Document navigation and selection#1001

I’d like to be able to navigate the whole script without having to touch the mouse, which means using the arrow keys (at least until I also have the option to use vim bindings or something similar). The problem is that when I arrow to certain scene headings, the arrow opens up a dropdown menu of other similar locations or times, forcing me to change arrow directions, which really slows down navigation or to return to the mouse to navigate beyond this point. I really don’t find this dropdown useful unless I’m editing a scene heading or writing a new one.

Additionally, when I’m in other writing apps, I can use the Cmd and Option modifiers to quickly select and navigate between paragraphs, words, lines, etc. but when I use the those shortcuts in Arc Studio, especially the Option shortcuts, I can only select and navigate to the beginning and end of the given element. I’d expect Option + Up/Down to move the cursor to the top of the element. Pressing it again should then move the cursor to the top of the next element and so on. And I’m sure Windows has its own variation on these kinds of shortcuts.

If you wanted to go deeper, I’m sure from here you could imagine how useful Vim-like shortcuts would be such as replace, yank, break, join or even jumping between elements of the same type.
